Speculation continues to grow as to when Prince William and Kate Middleton will announce their engagement. Â In recent weeks, there has been a media frenzy surrounding the girl. Â Bodog.com has posted betting odds at -125 that Prince William will pop the question! Â Paparazzi have been waiting outside her Chelsea home in London. Things got out of control on Middleton’s 25th birthday Tuesday when 30 members of the media ambushed her when she left her house. Â Some paparazzi’s stopped her car from leaving and tried to get close-up shots of the girl. Â Middleton called the police after being frightened by the whole ordeal.
Prior to becoming Princess, Diana Spencer experienced a similar situation preceding her engagement to Prince Charles. Â She was contantly hounded by the media. Â A car crash while avoiding paparazzi led to Princess Diana’s death ten years ago.
Prince William made an announcement pleading with the paparazzi to stop harassing his girlfriend.  He is not happy about the situation and does not want Middleton going through the same things as his mother. After all he does blame the paparazzi for his mother’s death according to royal historian Robert Lacey.  A few media outlets have agreed to respect his wishes and will no longer print any paparazzi pictures of Kate Middleton.  The decision came after royal solicitors Harbottle & Lewis threatened British media organizations with legal action if they continued to harass Middleton.
Bet on Prince Wiliam and Kate Middleton Engagement & Wedding at Bodog.com Pictures of Kate Middleton are worth thousands of dollars even if she is seen doing ordinary things.  It was a media spectacle when she received a parking ticket outside her home.  A shot of her in a bikini like the one pictured above is said to sell for more than $50,000.    "We took the first-ever pictures of a potential queen of England taking the trash out," said Owen Beanie of the W Picture Agency. "Those pictures grossed us just over $45,000, and they're still selling now." It seems like the media frenzy will continue until the couple announces their engagement.  British bookmaking firm William Hill says they have stopped taking bets on whether the pair will get engaged because they are so certain they will.  You can only bet on the date.
