Philadelphia Phillies at Los Angeles Dodgers NLCS Game 3 Pick: The Philadelphia Phillies took care of business winning games one and two of the National League Championship Series over the Los Angeles Dodgers at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. Now the series moves to Los Angeles for games 3-5 at Dodgers Stadium beginning with Game-1 Sunday night. If the Phillies can get a win today behind 46 year old starter Jamie Moyer, it would deal a critical blow to the Dodgers still looking for their first win. Moyer started 33 games during the regular season going 16-8 with a 3.71 ERA. Los Angeles will counter Moyer with righthander Hiroki Kuroda. Kuroda, in his rookie year following a career in Japan, went 9-10 in 31 starts with a 3.73 ERA. Oddsmakers at online sportsbook Bodog (Bodoglife.com) currently have the Dodgers listed as 155-moneyline favorites versus the Phillies, while the game's total is sitting at 8. The Phillies are getting +140 money line odds. Moyer has provided consistency to the Phils' starting rotation this season, leading the team in regular-season victories, with 16. He also has League Championship Series experience under his belt, having won in his only start for the Mariners during the 2001 ALCS against the Yankees. Moyer has not faced the Dodgers in 2008. Take advantage of online super-sportsbook Bodog's 10% sign-up bonus and use the extra cash to bet on the NLCS or many other sports. Kuroda had never pitched in a postseason game until he clinched the National League Division Series against the Cubs, when he didn't look like a rookie in pitching 6 1/3 scoreless innings. He pitched well in a tough no-decision in Philadelphia on Aug. 24, allowing one run in six innings. He was even better beating the Phillies in Los Angeles 10 days earlier, allowing one run in seven innings. He will be pitching on eight days' rest. His ERA this year with more than four days' rest is 2.86. The Phillies scored four runs in two consecutive innings on Friday, as they defeated the Dodgers 8-5 in Game 2 of this series. The Phillies won the game as a -105 pick'em, while the 13 runs made it OVER the posted over/under (8.5). Shane Victorino had two hits and drove in four runs to lead the Phillies, while Brett Myers had three RBIs. Myers earned the win, and Brad Lidge notched his second straight save in the best-of-seven series. Manny Ramirez belted a three-run homer in a losing effort for the Dodgers. Chad Billingsley surrendered all eight runs and was saddled with the loss. Point-Spreads.com resident sports handicapper Reno Gold has a 1000% guaranteed pick for this NLDS game between the Phillies and Dodgers. The San Diego Chargers are, without question, one of the most disappointing teams of the early 2008 season. The Chargers do have time to turn things around, but they will need to adopt a sense of urgency that they have only displayed on rare occasion thus far. Perhaps the Patriots coming to town will spark the Bolts. NFL Picks at Sportsbook.com have San Diego as a -5 home favorite in a rematch of last year's AFC Championship game. San Diego looked like they had a let down two weeks ago against the Raiders, but they rallied for a late win. That lull was somewhat explainable given that San Deigo had scored its first win of the season on the Monday before. Last week, however, was without reason and the Chargers dismal showing in Miami reflects poorly on Norv Turner. The Chargers may need to get Darren Sproles more involved on offense as LaDainian Tomlinson has not looked right most of the year. The San Diego ground game is producing just 98.6 yards per game. The Patriots finally put some air back in the ball last week in their victory over the 49ers. Matt Cassell threw for 259 yards on 34 attempts against San Francisco and he connected with Randy Moss on a beautiful 66 yard touchdown bomb in the first quarter. Bill Belichick might employ the same strategy against a Chargers defense that is allowing 265.6 yards per game passing. NFL Picks Trend: The Chargers are 7-2-1 straight up in their last 10 games as a home favorite. Sportsbook.com's NFL Picks: New England Patriots vs San Diego Chargers Patriots +5 (-105), Over 44.5 (-110), +190 (Money line) Chargers -5 (-105), Under 44.5 (-110), -230 (Money line) Einstein Picks is among the most consistent NFL Handicappers on the internet with a documented 57% winning percentage on his 2007 NFL Picks where he was named by OSH as the Top Handicapper of November 2007. The Philadelphia Eagles will travel to San Francisco this weekend in an attempt to end their two game losing skid. The 49ers will be looking to break a two game slide of their own while trying to get back in the race for the NFC West. NFL Predictions at Looselines.com have the Eagles as a -4 road favorite. The Eagles jumped all over the Redskins last weekend, leading 14-0 at one point, but they could not hold up to the Redskins methodical attack. For the second week in a row, the Philadelphia offense failed to make plays at critical moments and it cost them a chance at victory. The Eagles only mustered 254 yards of offense against Washington. Philly's defense did not do their job either, allowing the Redskins to rack up 203 yards on the ground. The Eagles will be without Brian Westbrook this week; Westbrook suffered some broken ribslate in last week's game. The 49ers had a tough job last week playing a Patriots team coming off a bye week and a sound beating by the Dolphins in the week prior to that. San Francisco held strong for a while, leading 14-7 in the first quarter but they could not sustain their effort. Their passing game was virtually non-existent (122 yards) and the run game did not make up for it, generating just 77 yards. NFL Predictions Trend: The Under is 6-1 the last five years when the 49ers played as a home underdog coming off of back to back SU losses. Looselines.com's Philadelphia Eagles vs San Francisco 49ers NFL Predictions Eagles -4 (-110), Over 41.5 (-110), -210 (Money line) 49ers +4 (-110), Under 41.5 (-110), +175 (Money line) Einstein Picks is among the most consistent NFL Handicappers on the internet with a documented 57% winning percentage on his 2007 NFL Picks where he was named by OSH as the Top Handicapper of November 2007. The Dallas Cowboys and the Arizona Cardinals are set to do battle this Sunday at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Arizona. The Cardinals are coming off a big win over the Bills and they will get a Cowboys team playing on the road for the first time in three weeks. NFL Picks at Heroescasino.com have Arizona as a +5 home underdog. Arizona continued their aerial acrobatics last week against the Bills as Kurt Warner threw for 250 yards and two touchdowns. Larry Fitzgerald was on the receiving end of both Warner's stikes and he will again need to be the focal point of the offense this week against a banged up Dallas secondary. The Cardinals have proven what they are capable of when they practice good ball security and if they can remain turnover free or force turnovers (like they did against the Bills) versus Dallas, they have an excellent shot at pulling the upset. Every week is starting to become a soap opera for the Cowboys. Last week it was Terrell Owens' mouth, this week it was Pacman Jones and his volatile temper generating the buzz.Wade Phillips will have his hands full keeping things in check, but luckily for him, his squad has enough talent to overcome a certain amount of drama. But, as they proved last week, they must remain focused to close out games, especially against an opponent as potent as Arizona NFL Picks Trend: The Under is 8-1-1 in Dallas last 10 as a road favorite with a spread between 4 and 7.5. Heroescasino.com's NFL Picks: Dallas Cowboys vs Arizona Cardinals Cowboys -5 (-104), Over 50 (-109), -201 Cardinals +5 (-106), Under 50 (-101), +181 Einstein Picks is among the most consistent NFL Handicappers on the internet with a documented 57% winning percentage on his 2007 NFL Picks where he was named by OSH as the Top Handicapper of November 2007. The disappointing Jacksonville Jaguars have another difficult task this Sunday as they head to Denver to face the 4-1 Broncos. Prior to the season, the Jaguars were one of the most hyped teams in the league, but their 2-3 start has squashed expectations. NFL Predictions at Sportsbook.com have the Broncos as a -3.5 home favorite. Jacksonville has struggled all season long. In their opening loss to the Titans, they lost two starting offensive lineman and they have not recovered from that misfortune. The ground game which carried them last year has been pedestrian at best this season, producing just 108.8 yards per game. Consequently, David Garrard has been under more pressure and his numbers have reflected as much. The Jaguars will no doubt be looking to run the ball this week and keep Denver's high-powered offense on the bench. They might find some success in that endeavor as Denver is allowing 134 rushing yards per game. Denver is just a few plays away from being 2-3, but they have done enough to earn their 4-1 mark. Last week's win against the Bucs had to be especially encouraging to Mke Shanahan because his defense stepped up on a day when the offense was not hitting on all cylinders. The Broncos offensive numbers were not terrible but they did have trouble finding the end zone. The Denver defense, however, limited Tampa Bay to just 307 total yards and 13 points. NFL Predictions Trend: Denver is 9-4 straight up the last five years playing as a home team in October. Sportsbook.com's NFL Predictions: Jacksonville Jaguars vs Denver Broncos Jaguars +3.5 (-120), Over 48.5 (-110), +155 (Money line) Broncos -3.5 (Even), Under 48.5 (-110), -175 (Money line) Einstein Picks is among the most consistent NFL Handicappers on the internet with a documented 57% winning percentage on his 2007 NFL Picks where he was named by OSH as the Top Handicapper of November 2007. The Panthers will take their 4-1, NFC South leading record on the road this weekend for a Sunday showdown with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Carolina, who crushed the Chiefs at home last week 34-0, have to be feeling good as they venture into Raymond James Stadium. NFL Picks at Bodoglife.com have the Bucaneers as a -1.5 home favorite. Carolina practically secured their win over the Chiefs in the first quarter. The game was never a contest but it was probably a good tune up for their game in Tampa. Carolina gets both of their starting offensive tackles back this week, luckily they did not need them against Kansas City. The Panthers will look to hold the Bucs ground game in check and force Griese to air it out. Carolina has not allowed a 100 yard rusher all season and if they can do that Sunday, they could get a key road victory. Tampa Bay has been solid all season long, going 3-2 with both losses coming on the road by a combined seven points. They lost last week in Denver and their offense was surprisingly thwarted by a Broncos defense that has been a doormat all season long. Things will not get an easier for them against Carolina. Brian Griese will need to bring his A game for Jon Gruden's team to get a victory in this one. NFL Picks Trend: The Over is 10-5 the last five years when the Panthers played as a road dog coming off a win. Bodoglife.com's Carolina Panthers vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers NFL Picks: Panthers +1.5 (-110), Over 36.5 (-110) Buccaneers -1.5 (-110), Under 36.5 (-110) Glen McNeil is coming off another big week as he won his 3 Top Plays NON Conference GOY, NON Conference Total GOY and his top Vegas Insider play.
